Where It All Began
I was 8 years old when my world changed forever.
My dad passed away, and just like that — the person who was supposed to walk me through life was gone. I was born in Mexico, and not long after losing him, my family packed everything we had and moved to the USA. A new country. A new language. A new life. And a grief that none of us knew how to carry.
I wish I could tell you I remember him clearly. His laugh. The way he smelled. The sound of his voice. But grief is strange — it doesn't just take the person. Sometimes it takes the memories too. And growing up, that absence was its own kind of pain. Not loud. Not dramatic. Just quiet. A seat that was always empty. A name that hung in the air at every birthday, every milestone, every moment that should have had him in it.
There were nights I didn't understand why. Nights I asked God the same question over and over. Why him? Why us? Why so early?
Finding Grace in the Middle of It
Faith was never something I chose — it was something I was carried by. Even when I couldn't feel it, it was there. Holding me together when everything else was falling apart.
As I got older, I started to understand something: the seasons that broke me were also the seasons that built me. The loss. The grief. The starting over in a new country. All of it was shaping something in me that I couldn't yet see.
I started calling it my Grace Era — the season where everything I had been through finally started to make sense. Where the pain had a purpose. Where I stopped asking why and started asking what now.
Why We Started Grace Era
I wanted to create something that reminded women — especially women who had been through it — that they were not behind. That their story wasn't over. That this season, right now, was their Grace Era.
